It's been a while since I have blogged. Guess I've been caught in the pre-Christmas frenzy.
Anyway knitting news - well I got a lovely gift in the Santa Swap from the UK Swap. I got two yummy balls of Zara Plus merino wool which I am making fingerless gloves with. This is really exciting for me as it is my first time cabling - which has been going really well. So far I would give myself a 9 out of 10 for effort and a 7 out of 10 for results - as I sort of missed a bit out and there is no way I am frogging back. I just need to bind off and finish the thumb, then I can start on the second one. The pattern I am doing is the lovely Fetching gloves.
In other news I was in Harrogate in November - staying with my mum and dad - and meeting up with some friends at the show there. I took Orla along which meant I wasn't able to do as much foraging as I wanted to but still came away with some lovely dyed silk from Hipknits and a couple of other bits and pieces.
My to-do list on ravelry has lengthened and I am thoroughly enjoying knitting at the moment - but have precious little time to do it. I am also doing some voluntary editing on Ravely which I adore.
That's all for now folks...
