So enough of that - stash talk - what did I get? Just adding it into Ravelry and it is a little scary..

I bought

• 12 skeins of lilac Rowan Summer Tweed
• 2 red balls of Rowan Cotton Rope
• 4 balls of Rowan 4 ply cotton
  
• 18 balls of Rowan Bamboo Soft (3 each of 6 colours in deep pink, purples and blues)
• 4 balls of lilac/purple Jaeger Merino Soft
• 1 pair of bamboo knitting needles
• A snap press thing
• Lucinda Guy's 'And So To Bed'

Phew - quite a haul...

The Summer Tweed will make a jumper/cardi for me. The cotton rope and 4-ply cotton are to make iggle piggle for Orla. The bamboo soft is to to make a Mason-Dixon log cabin afghan. The Jaeger wool is just because...

Fun was had..

Oh and the book is fantastic - lots of bedtime things to knit. I'm planning on an Otto Owl for the kids, amongst other things.

Ravelry #2

Well the moving has been done and it was not fun but we're in the new house at last.

More excitingly though I finally got my Ravelry invite and can't bear to leave it alone - I want to get all my stash, thought and ideas up. It's such a great site and I am loving exploring it.

Funky hat

I came across this gorgeous hat while trawling blogs the other day. Isn't it fab? I've bought some yarn for it and will be making it for this autumn for a couple of people. Fun huh?

Here's the pattern if anyone else wants to give it a go.

A project for the caravan me thinks - I like easy patterns.

Mystery Stole

I have signed up to knit a mystery stole. This is my first venture into lace knitting so wish me luck!

My first big decision is which colour? The instructions say:
"The colors I recommend for this stole are solid, earthy, non-vibrant, non-variegated, non-fuzzy. ... This stole design and theme are best suited for black, white, pink, grey, green, etc. as long as it is not a primary, bright vibrant color. The only exception to this is if you were able to use a silver or gold yarn of some kind. Regardless, be sure to pick something you like and I’m sure the stole will be beautiful."

So - I have found a supplier of a suitable yarn but now need to choose my colour... Here are some pics - please let me know what you think.

Organising those needles

Now I have a fine stash of needles I need to sort the little tinkers out. So I was surfing the other night - a regular pastime - and came across the perfect thing. Isn't this just the perfect way to store circular needles?? And the patterns that they come on are gorgeous.. Go and have a look.

So when I can afford it do I go for a full matching set or do I get a clash of patterns?
